Pirate's Island and Pirate's Cove of Kissimmee are committed to giving back to our Community.
A large portion of that is working and giving back to the Osceola County School System.
We have committed to improve the reading scores of the students through the Read Across The Schools program.
This program was started last school year at New Beginnings School.
There reading passing average was at 17%.
Once we started going into the School and Reading AR books,
while dressed up as Pirate's and giving away incentives as Free Play Tokens,
The students reading passing levels started to increase.
By the end of the school year, New Beginnings Average Passing Level was at 87%.
We have a portable Golf Course that we bring when we are invited to school functions, such as;
Open House, Parent Teacher Nights, Festivals and Field Days.
We are committed to the schools of Osceola County and the students, to help in any way that we can.
We have also donated over $13,250 dollars worth of Complimentary Passes to the Schools as incentives to the Students and Faculty on Teacher and Staff appreciation week this past school year.
We have worked with 19 schools this past school year and are looking forward to working with more of the schools for this upcoming 2011/2012 school year.
We are going to present to the School Board of Osceola County a Donation of $4,400.00. in August 2011
